Paint and Clay
My art journey originally began training in fine arts and I worked as a graphic designer, before returning to my passion for making in clay and paint.
All of my ceramics are hand built or rolled from a slab of clay and altered by hand. I love to work in porcelain and stoneware clays creating delicate shapes that can also be used as functional ware. The natural world provides me with inspiration, using underglazes to hand paint botanical designs or make washes of colour, and glazes that reflect coastal life. Every part of the process is done by me and takes weeks to complete. Each piece is one of a kind, created with love and a passion for unique design.
My paintings draw inspiration from the world around me and I am currently focusing on still life, floral themes and landscapes.
I have exhibited ceramics at Michael Reid Northern Beaches and Michael Reid Murrarundi. My “Ruffle Vase” was a finalist in the National Emerging Art Prize 2021, held at Michael Reid Surry Hills. My work has been featured in many magazines, including Australian House & Garden magazine, Country Style, Belle Magazine, and Home Beautiful Australia.
Product Polices
shipping and returns
Items will be shipped within 1-3 working days via Australia Post, and prices include the cost of packaging materials. For international buyers, please allow 3 weeks for delivery, however most parcels arrive within 10 business days. As the buyer, you are responsible for any customs taxes and import duties that you may incur upon delivery to your country, they are not included in the shipping price. Please check with your customs office for information before ordering.
If you are unhappy with your purchase and your item is not as you expected, please contact me immediately and I will do my best to amend the situation. If you are still unhappy, you may return the unused, undamaged item within 7 days of receipt, and I will refund the purchase price. I will not be able to refund shipping costs.
In the unlikely event of a piece being damaged in transit, please take a photo of the damaged item and box and contact me immediately. I am happy to replace any items that have been damaged due to shipping as long as you contact me as soon as you receive the item.
policies and care
All efforts are made to accurately describe and document each piece, but as every item is handmade there are variations in colour and shape. These slight imperfections and irregularities show that they are crafted by hand. This adds to their uniqueness, all items are one-of-a-kind. Every part of the making and packaging process is done by me in my home studio. Hand washing of ceramics is recommended as the dishwasher will dull glazes over time. Unglazed pieces should be rinsed as soon as possible to prevent staining.
Paintings will be packaged and shipped within Australia for a flat fee of $20. If you are in an International buyer please get in touch and I will get a shipping cost on request. Unfortunately ceramics and paintings cannot be packaged together due to their different size requirements.
